Farm Stay 

Based on a working farm in the heart of the Blackdown Hills near the Devon/Somerset border. The Croft offers rural tranquillity and views over surrounding farmland.    

Sleeps up to 4

The Croft has two bedrooms, 

each sleeps up to two. The master has a king size bed and television.  Bedroom 2 has two single beds. 

Spacious living area with log burner

The Croft has a large open plan kitchen/dining/living area which has a log burning stove and smart television. 

Dog Friendly

We welcome one dog to The Croft. Our garden area is the perfect place to relax with your dog and there are so many local walks to enjoy.  We even provide a doggie welcome pack! 

Private courtyard & garden area

The courtyard is directly accessed from the living area and is furnished with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. 

We also have a separate secure fenced grass garden area. 

Child friendly

We welcome children at The Croft, with a high chair & travel cot available on request. We have books and games to keep little ones entertained.

Free Wifi

Wifi is available for all our guests staying at the cottage. 

Home from Home Setting

With everything you could need for your break away, including sheets, towels, a coffee machine & dishwasher. 

Bathroom

Our contemporary bathroom offers a large walk-in shower.

Explore the Blackdowns AONB

 

This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, sits on the Devon-Somerset border in South West England. Whether by foot, bicycle or car; this truly is a special area to explore, with or without your four legged friends.

Walks are available from your doorstep and the beautiful Otterhead Lakes can be reached in minutes.

Historic Sites

 

There is so much history in the area, with evidence of human occupation since the Iron Age. Local places to visit include Wellington Monument, Dunkeswell Abbey, historic airfields at Smeatharpe and Dunkeswell, hillfort sites at Castle Neroche, Hembury and Membury Castle, The Museum of Somerset  in Taunton, Coldharbour Mill Museum in Uffculme and Nation Trust sites including Barrington Court, Montacute House, Killerton & Knightshayes. 

Sporting Activities

There is a multitude to try and do; from playing golf to watching horse racing or cricket. The Blackdown Hills are well known as great walking & cycling areas, with varying terrain and beautiful views. 

Local attractions include Somerset County Cricket Club, Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club and Taunton Racecourse.

Coast & Country

 

We are within easy reach of the East Devon coast as well as north Somerset coast, with its views to Wales. Beaches within easy reach are Seaton, Sidmouth, Lyme Regis, Exmouth, Brean Sands and Minehead.

Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Quantocks are also within driving distance, providing plenty to places to explore further.

We are a short drive from a multitude of visitor attractions, to include:

Despite our rural base we are within easy distance of Taunton, Exeter, Wells, Bristol or Bath.

Each city provides a wealth of places to explore, shop and relax. 

The A303 being within 3 miles of the farm and the M5 is only 10 miles away. Our nearest train stations are Honiton and Taunton, both being 10 miles away.
